Top 5 Social Apps in Egypt Q4 2021: Performance Review

Throughout the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 social apps in Egypt displayed dynamic trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance:

TikTok saw significant growth in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $46.5K and peaking at about $117.5K by the end of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated but ended the quarter strong, rising from 380K to 384K. Active users, however, showed a slight decline from 15.3M to 13.6M.

Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat experienced a varied revenue trend, beginning at around $48.8K and closing the quarter at $50.5K. Downloads increased from 12.3K to 24.3K, and active users also grew, starting at 300K and peaking at 393.8K mid-December before ending at 376.5K.

Who - Live Video Chat generated relatively modest revenue, starting at $9.4K and rising to $12.9K by the end of December. Downloads remained steady, fluctuating around 7K, and active users saw a slight increase from 26.1K to 28K.

Bigo Live - Live Streaming App maintained a consistent weekly revenue, starting at $16.5K and ending at $15.3K. Downloads saw a peak of 76K in late November but decreased to 50K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 490K to 520K throughout the quarter.
